* the first time we talked *
your sweet voice echoed
through my mind …
‘twas a surprise!

* the next time we spoke *
tears ran down my cheeks
solitarily fearful …

* *the first time we touched
you held my hand
I held yours…

the next time we touched * *
we kissed, on the cheeks
then on the lips…

…remember?
