Barangay Langub, Argao
South of Cebu province, Philippines

Area: 1,296 square meters

Boundaries: Bounded by Sibonga municipality on the east, Barangay Capio-an on the west, Barangay Sumaguan on the south, Barangay Gutlang on the north.

Site Description:
The place is called “Langub” which means “cave”, but it isn’t conforming to its name because of the fact that there wasn’t any cave at all anywhere in the vicinity, except for a very deep depression down the vlowest point of the area which is quite unreachable. According to the local community, the place was called such because of the sloping contour of the entire area almost forming like a cup.

Several landscape formations can be seen as one goes up on higher grounds. Also, a few of nature’s wonders are scattered around the area like natural cold springs which flows down smoothly one after the other beside the road. A calm river, Langub River, softly runs across all the way through, almost cutting Langub into half.

Few springs also sprouted along the Barangay road side, and across the provincial route going north, making it one of the most abundant water resource in early times.
